“ Second time Thasso's, love the ambience, menu but find it very disappointing that the rest room is in the basement and the main dining room is gets very loud with just a few people in the room. Had a souvlaki and this slice lamb shops. My dining partner had the appetizer portion of chicken souvlaki. He did mention next time he'd get the pork. Very nice to have in the neighborhood saving me a trip to the near northwest suburbs to get Greek food. Our server was attentive at first but was the only waiter working got more customers wasn't able to maintain that same level of detail. ”

“ I enjoyed my initial visit to Thassos. All courses were tasty, with classic Greek spices, flavors and preparations. Appetizers-cold spread sampler with great pita and bread and saganaki were good versions. Entress-Roast lamb Youvetsi was excellent-sauce and the pasta side. Whole fish was tasty, as were all side items. Service was good-you're not rushed, and courses are timed well and you're attended to by friendly staff. I have to give special "props" to the gentleman who packed up leftovers-I'd put him up against any other worker in terms of putting everything worth taking with in efficiently and cleanly! ”

“ This place was great! I started with dolmades which had a wonderful lemon sauce - they were huge too. I probably should have just had another appetizer and left it at that, but I have no self control when it comes to Greek food. I had the moussaka. It was exactly as I expected, except that the portion was huge (though I guess I did sort of expect that too). The flavor of the meat and vegetables was spot on and the bechamel was spiced perfectly. Of course, I did have to have dessert so I took some baklava to go. It was the perfect honey soaked breakfast before I had to head to the airport the next morning since I was still full that night. I had great service when I was there with prompt refilling of my water and my server also coming to check on me regularly with a smile. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area! ”

“ A great, hidden restaurant. Please ignore the entitled people posts complaining about the silliest of things, "not having enough of this or that." We were greeted quickly by the owner and seated promptly. The restaurant is well lit, clean, and warm during these cold months. I ordered an old fashioned and an appletini. They were great. My entrée was the chicken breast pasta. The pasta had a nice doughy taste, so I know they make their pasta fresh daily. Parking is adequate by the Metra line. It is an odd spot, but for sure, it's worth a try. Ignore the entitled posts, as I mentioned. This is a 5 star restaurant. I'll be back. ”
